Virginia Hastings

Born with an inclination towards adventure, Virginia is naturally determined and passionate. Virginia’s amazingly creative eye makes people, wildlife and landscapes shine on camera. Her professional diversity radiates from her footage. Whether filming a pack of Siberian sled dogs in Northern Ontario or capturing the strength, willpower and hardships of World Champion Ultra Cyclists in the Arizona desert, Virginia is always ready for a new challenge.

Over the past ten years, Virginia’s enthusiasm behind the camera has allowed her to share and create memories for a variety of clients and events. From one day projects to month long shoots, her ambition, sharp edge, editing skills and constant smile enable her to take on challenging projects and deliver stunning products.

Recently Virginia was honoured by the 2010 Muskoka Outstanding Business Women's Awards in the Young Entrepreneur category, and as recipient of the Heart & Soul Award (for her volunteer work throughout Muskoka). In addition, she is recipient of YWCA Canada's 2010 The Ann Mowat Outstanding Young Woman Award for her leadership in Canada.

On her down time, you can find Virginia cycling, skiing or hiking through the backcountry, curious of what is around the next corner and always searching for new ideas and great footage.

Starshine Video Productions a professional video production company, is owned by Virginia Hastings. Producing promotional marketing videos, tv commercials, wedding videos, conference videos, educational videos, documentaries, and more. Putting your visions to motion.

Virginia Hastings from Starshine Video Productions is both a videographer and photographer. She does most of her work in Muskoka at the following resorts: Delta, Deerhurst, Taboo, Sherwood, Rocky Crest.

Starshine is located in Huntsville, where the G8 will be taking place in 2010 at Deerhurst. Virginia has previously filmed and photographed at Deerhurst which has beautiful scenery of the fall red leaves, golf course and the lake.

Starshine has also worked in places such as, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Rosseau and Port Cunnington, all in Ontario. Virginia’s services are without a doubt amazing, she promotes her business very well.
