As the owner, manager and operator of Starshine Video Productions her professional diversity radiates from her footage. Whether filming a pack of Siberian sled dogs in Northern Ontario or capturing the strength, willpower and hardships of World Champion Ultra Cyclists in the Arizona desert, Virginia is always ready for a new challenge.
Over the past ten years, Virginia’s enthusiasm behind the camera has allowed her to share and create memories for a variety of clients and events. From one day projects to month long shoots, her ambition, sharp edge, editing skills and constant smile enable her to take on challenging projects and deliver stunning products.
Virginia is currently producing her first feature length documentary, which follows the story of the Canadian Ultra Cyclist, Caroline Van den Bulk in the Race Across America. From California to Maryland, through fourteen states, Virginia documents Caroline’s journey through one of the most respected and longest endurance races in the world.
When Virginia is not out in the field or editing, she is the proud Board Director and President for YWCA Muskoka, a position held for the past seven years. Virginia is also a frequent guest speaker for the Careers On and Off the Beaten Path program, where she shares her life and business experiences as an entrepreneur with high school students and young entrepreneurs.
On her down time, you can find Virginia cycling, skiing or hiking through the backcountry, curious of what is around the next corner and always searching for new ideas and great footage.
