Virginia Hastings - President

B & W Image of Virginia HastingsVideographer, editor and owner of Starshine Video Productions, Virginia will be celebrating the company's 10th anniversary all year long. 
 
Born with an inclination towards adventure and an unheard-of lust for life, Virginia specializes in filming documentaries, weddings and corporate videos where she coaxes out and captures the essence of each new subject. 

She was recently honoured by the 2010 Muskoka Outstanding Business Women's Awards in the Young Entrepreneur category, and as recipient of the Heart & Soul Award (for her volunteer work in Muskoka). In addition, she is recipient of YWCA Canada's 2010 The Ann Mowat Outstanding Young Woman Award for her leadership in Canada.

AJ Specht - Creative Assistant

A.J. has enjoyed a vast array of experiences since graduating University of Guelph's B&W Portrait of A.J. SpechtStudio Art program in 2006.  The past few years have seen her developing her passion for languages working with Red Leaf camps in Spain; the completion of Jolo's Two Bedrooms, her first publication as a Children's Book Illustrator; and perhaps the steepest learning curve yet: owning and operating a national marketing franchise location in Muskoka.


Graeme Powell, Videographer & Editor

Graeme Powell is a graduate of Queen's Film Studies program and has been shooting and editing wedding videos for the past five years. He operates his own production company, Fern Hill Productions, that services the GTA and beyond. Some of his work has been screened at the Planet-in-Focus Environmental Film Festival, the Niagara Indie Film Festival and the Silver Wave Film Festival. Graeme is also an actor and president of the Borelians Community Theatre in Port Perry, and he is a founding member of the John Crocker Student Film Festival for high school students in Durham Region.


Melissa Paiuk, Videographer

B & W Image of Melissa PaiukA graduate of Ryerson University's Film Studies program, Melissa brings her sharp edge, eye for perfection, and outside the box thinking to everything that she creates; including capturing all of the special moments of your wedding day.


Currently the head of Technology Studies at Emily Carr Secondary School in York Region, Melissa inspires and teaches her students in communications technology; including TV, video, and movie production, radio and audio production, print and graphic communications, photography, digital imaging, broadcast journalism, and interactive media.

Melissa has been shooting and editing weddings for over 10 years.

Starshine Video Productions a professional video production company, is owned by Virginia Hastings. Producing promotional marketing videos, tv commercials, wedding videos, conference videos, educational videos, documentaries, and more. Putting your visions to motion.

Virginia Hastings from Starshine Video Productions is both a videographer and photographer. She does most of her work in Muskoka at the following resorts: Delta, Deerhurst, Taboo, Sherwood, Rocky Crest.

Starshine is located in Huntsville, where the G8 will be taking place in 2010 at Deerhurst. Virginia has previously filmed and photographed at Deerhurst which has beautiful scenery of the fall red leaves, golf course and the lake.

Starshine has also worked in places such as, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Rosseau and Port Cunnington, all in Ontario. Virginia’s services are without a doubt amazing, she promotes her business very well. Also, Virginia has a website for Starshine Video Productions which is great for advertising her blogs, services, and her work.
